Sunlit Family Kitchen

The homeowners envisioned an oversized, bright, and highly functional family kitchen that could serve as the true heart of the home. To achieve this, the scope of work expanded beyond a standard kitchen remodel. We incorporated an adjacent room into the kitchen footprint—an intentional design move that completely redefined the space. This adjoining room featured a large double window, which immediately became a focal point and allowed us to relocate the sink beneath it, flooding the kitchen with natural light and creating a strong visual anchor.

The redesigned peninsula was both enlarged and reshaped, eliminating the awkward angles of the original layout. It now comfortably seats all four members of the family, serving multiple purposes—from casual dining to homework and work-from-home needs. Storage was dramatically increased with thoughtfully designed cabinetry, including appliance hutches, generous pantry space, and custom solutions tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle.

A new wood hood was introduced as a focal point, grounding the space and adding warmth and architectural interest. Quartz countertops were upgraded in thickness to enhance the sense of luxury and durability, and the same material was carried vertically up the backsplash for a clean, cohesive, and contemporary look.
