Screened and Sun Room

The goal was to design a space that functioned primarily as a screened porch during warmer months, while also offering the comfort and protection of a sunroom when weather conditions change.

The centerpiece of the project is a covered three-season room outfitted with a durable vinyl window system that allows the space to fully transform. For most of the year, the room operates as a screened porch, providing open-air enjoyment, ventilation, and connection to the outdoors. When needed, the vinyl window panes easily close to create a more enclosed, sunroom-style environment that extends the usability of the space into cooler or wetter seasons. The photos clearly illustrate how this window system transitions the room from screened porch to sunroom and back again, showcasing the versatility of the design.
