Beachy Kitchen

Light, breezy with a touch of beachy elegance! The old kitchen in this mid-century modern split level was dark and awkward. The new layout preserved a few key elements of the space-plumbing location, window and slider locations, and the baseboard radiators-in order to keep the budget down. The room was opened up into the dining space with a new peninsula, perfect for their family lifestyle. A pass-thru was created into the living room to create sight lines and share light from the big front windows. A beach glass backsplash adds a touch of color, and a splurge on heated tile floors made it possible to forgo a radiator in the remodeled space.
